Incumbent Markey Defeats Curren In 9th Bristol District

Rep. Chris Markey of Dartmouth is thanking his supporters and campaign volunteers for helping him in his victorious re-election campaign.

Markey easily defeated Patrick Curren of Dartmouth in the 9th Bristol District, which includes the town of Dartmouth and two precincts in New Bedford.

Markey says he can't say enough about the people who worked on his campaign....

Markey outpolled Curren on Tuesday by a two-to-one margin. Markey will begin his third term on Beacon Hill in January.
