The Immigrants' Assistance Center in New Bedford was founded in 1971 with the goal of helping immigrants overcome language, cultural, and economic barriers as they try to integrate into American society.

This Saturday the center will be holding their Spring Fundraiser which, Executive Director Helena DaSilva-Hughes says, will help finance some of their underfunded programs including those which help the elderly.

The fundraiser will be held from 6:00 p.m. until Midnight at the United Fisherman's Club at 639 Orchard Street in New Bedford.

For tickets or further information please contact the IAC at 508-996-8113 or visit the center's website.
