I watched a man overdose in downtown New Bedford. First responders were second at the scene. Three others including myself tried helping the victim/suspect/overweight man.

One of those assisting told me this guy overdosed a few days prior. I don't know if Narcan was administered then, but it was on this occasion.

How many more times can fire fighters dispense Narcan before:

1) Taxpayers cry holy hell about their tax dollars repeatedly getting injected up someone's nose?

2) Firefighters get caught administering Narcan and not being able to attend to a bonafide fire, heart attack victim or a fall guy?
