A homeless man is facing drug charges after New Bedford Police execute a search warrant at a hotel.

Lt. Amos Melo says the New Bedford Police Narcotics Division executed the search warrant around 9:15 p.m. Wednesday at the New Bedford Inn and Suites.

As a result of the search officers found five plastic bags of cocaine (5.5 grams), four plastic bags of marijuana (35 grams), a digital scale, packaging materials and $206 in cash.

The target of the search, 31-year-old Kyle Jardin, was charged with possession of class B substance (cocaine) with intent to distribute and possession of class D substance (marijuana) with intent to distribute.
