Homeless Count In New Bedford Underway
The 2014 count of homeless people in New Bedford is underway. A brief press conference was held on the steps of City Hall Wednesday afternoon before the count’s 2pm start time.

The non-profit Point-In-Tme committee will count until 2pm Thursday. They will supply care packages to homeless people they find outside over night.
There are over twenty-thousand homeless people living in Massachusetts and the federal government requires a homeless count by communities each year to determine funding needs.
