One of the most outspoken locally elected Trump supporters is looking forward to his candidate's presidency.

Bristol County Sheriff Thomas Hodgson says he hopes President-Elect Trump's first order of business is tackling one of his biggest campaign promises. "I think we need to, first and foremost, do what he said he was going to do which is create a border security wall, as well as a border security system. As we are doing that, we ought to be sitting down, drilling down and looking at reforming our immigration policy in a way that works for everyone," says Hodgson.

Hodgson tells WBSM News part of that reform should include cracking down on businesses unlawfully hiring illegal immigrants and paying them under the table. "It can't be sort of winks and nods and looking the other way. We have to be very clear on our policy. And there absolutely needs to be a comprehensive reform, and that does include businesses that are undercutting legitimate businesses by using people who are illegal and unfairly bidding on jobs."

Hodgson says America should, of course, continue to welcome immigrants through a legal process, but adds it should be a controlled flow depending on the nation's needs and available resources.
