Mass. State Police are asking for the public's help after a highway worker was struck by a hit-and-run driver in Fall River last week.

According to Police, an employee of Liddell Brothers Corporation was struck just after eight o'clock Thursday night in the northbound lane of Route 24.

Police say the 57-year old woman was placing a work zone sign in the breakdown lane of the highway when she was hit.  The vehicle failed to stop after the incident and left the scene.

The woman was transported to Rhode Island Hospital, and her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
