A group of property owners in New Bedford were honored last night by the New Bedford Preservation Society.

Society President Mark Fuller says ten property owners were presented with "Elm Awards" during a ceremony at the Downtown Library....

Among those honored last night was Community Action for Better Housing, the group that renovated the former James Tripp rooming house on Allen Street, now known as the Oscar Romero House, and Anne and Jeffrey Louro, for their work in restoring residential property at 35 Grove Street.
