(AP) — Two men accused of joining with former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez to kill a man in 2013 have appeared in court for the first time since Hernandez's murder conviction.

Attorneys for Ernest Wallace and Carlos Ortiz discussed trial dates Friday at Bristol County Superior Court. Both men have pleaded not guilty to murder.

The judge says she will check on tentative trial dates.

Ortiz appeared in court again hours later for a hearing on a motion to suppress evidence. Ortiz's attorneys say police who interviewed Ortiz were coercive and misstated the Miranda warning.

The hearing will be continued Tuesday.

Prosecutors say Ortiz and Wallace helped Hernandez carry out the June 2013 killing of Odin Lloyd.

Hernandez was convicted in April and sentenced to life in prison without parole.
