Here’s the Scoop on the Vacant Friendly’s in South Dartmouth

We (kinda) got the scoop on the old Friendly's Ice Cream location in South Dartmouth.

The beloved Friendly's Ice Cream in South Dartmouth has been closed since November of 2012, after serving the South Dartmouth community for 42 years. Since then, many Dartmouth residents have wondered what was to become of the building. In early March, the building finally sold to the tune of $425,000. After hearing a few rumors recently, we decided to get down to the bottom of it.

Allegedly, the proud new owner is Tony Boukheir, who also owns Bliss Express Gas Station next door to the former Friendly's building. We called him today to confirm and he surprised us with his plans for the location. He currently has NO PLANS. None. Zilch. Nada.

In fact, Boukheir said, "I don't really know what I should do with it yet. Can you ask people what they think?" Whether he was serious or not, we can't really tell so let us know what you want to see go in the old Friendly's building at 631 Dartmouth Street, South Dartmouth!
