The heat wave is threatening to close down Plymouth's nuclear power plant.

Officals say the water used to cool down the system is nearing the threshold of safe tempertures. The plant reduced power on Tuesday for a short time when it exceeded the mark for about 90 minutes. Spokespersons say they never would have thought rising water tempertures would be a concern.
