Hear What Our Critic Thinks Of “Maleficent” And “A Million Ways To Die In The West” (Review)

Maleficent
Disney Studios

Every Friday we are joined by our movie critic Joanna Langfield. Her website is themovieminute.com.

Opening today is the new family film, Maleficent, starring Angelina Jolie and  Elle Fanning. The film tells the untold story of the iconic Disney villain, Maleficent, from the classic tale Sleeping Beauty. The film follows Maleficent as her heart is hardened by evils that drove her to curse baby Aurora and the realization that the child may be the only one who can restore peace in the land. Maleficent is rated PG and has a running time of 1 hour and 38 minutes.

Also opening today is the new comedy from writer/director, Seth McFarlene, A Million Ways to Die in the West, starring Seth McFarlene and Charlize Theron. The film follows Albert, a cowardly farmer, played by McFarlene, who falls for the new, mysterious girl in town but when her husband, a notorious outlaw, arrives, Albert must put his new found courage to the test. A Million Ways to Die in the West is rated R and has a running time of 1 hour and 56 minutes.

Here’s what Joanna thinks.
