At Monday night's School Committe meeting, New Bedford High School Headmaster Kathleen Dawson spoke about the changing culture in the High School.

Dawson said changing student/teacher relationships are an important part to improving New Bedford High School. The first year headmaster said the process will require students, teachers, and families to work together.

The School Committee questioned Dawson on her plan for more effective student discipline.

She said teachers follow certain steps to stop disruptive behavior, and avoid kicking students out of the classroom if possible.
