Harris’ Rhetoric Is Irresponsible and Dangerous [OPINION]

Liberal Democrats are taking their disdain for law enforcement to new lows with Sen. Kamala Harris' (D-California) comparison of ICE to the KKK.

Harris, a likely candidate for the Democrat nomination for president, has already distinguished herself as one of the least classy people on Capitol Hill with her recent attacks on Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. But to compare an entire law enforcement agency to a white supremacist vigilante group is beyond the pale.

Harris' comments and her antics are disgusting, unprofessional and an embarrassment to our nation. They were delivered during a committee hearing while Harris was questioning Ronald Vitiello, President Trump's nominee to lead ICE.

It has become routine now for elected officials such as Harris and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) to demean and disrespect immigration enforcement officials and law enforcement in general. You remember Warren recently referred to a pro-cop rally in Bourne as an anti-Muslim organization, and Warren, like Harris, has also called for the abolishment of ICE. Warren has also suggested that the criminal justice system is racist.

Rhetoric such as that is dangerous and puts the lives of law enforcement officials at risk. Risking the safety of our law enforcement officials for the sake of pandering for votes is disgusting, and needs to stop immediately.
