Synagogues around the world will celebrate the start of Rosh Hashanah this weekend. The Jewish New Year is one of the most important festivals in the Jewish calendar and is the first of the High Holy Days, which occur in the early autumn in the northern hemisphere.

In 2015, Rosh Hashanah will begin at sunset on Sunday, September 13 and lasts until September 15. According to the Hebrew or Jewish calendar, a lunisolar calendar used  predominantly for Jewish religious observances, September 13 will bring in the year 5776. From festive meals to synagogue services, Rosh Hashanah is celebrated in a number of different ways and all of us at Town Square Media want to take this moment to wish all the Jewish community, here and abroad, a healthy, happy, inspiring, fun and meaningful New Year!
