A Rochester man is robbed of his cell phone by a man with a gun.

According to Det. Capt. Steve Vicente, the 18-year-old Rochester male was waiting for his father at the New Bedford bus terminal, when another man asked to use his cell phone. The man used the phone, and returned it to the owner, but asked to use it a second time.

The Rochester man handed the phone to the suspect, who then began to walk away with the device. When the owner demanded he return the phone, the suspect lifted his jacket and displayed what appeared to be a black firearm tucked in his waistband. The culprit then got into a taxi and left the scene.

He is described as a black male, about 25-years-old, weighing about 160lbs. He was last seen wearing a big, black, puffy coat and a Red Sox baseball cap.

Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 508-991-6300 ext. 320.
