Gun Report At Wareham School Turns Up Nothing

A bit of a scare near the Decas Elementary School in Wareham this morning, after students reported to school officials saying they had seen two men walking by the school carrying a gun.

Police were notified of the claims, and all precautionary measures at the school were taken, and a search of the perimeter of the Decas School was conducted.

Within 30 minutes, officers located the two men at nearby Wareham Crossing and conducted an investigation, which turned up no criminal intentions by the men and no weapons in their possession.

As a result, the Decas School has returned to it's normal operation.
