In a season that has been riddled with injuries, the New England Patriots had a notable player absent from practice today; tight end Rob Gronkowski.

With just three more days before the Pats host the Kansas City Chiefs in the divisional round of the playoffs, the dominant tight end was not present for the team's full-pads practice, Tuesday, according to Patriots.com.

Due to league rules, team's do not need to provide a reason for why players are not at practice until Wednesday, when the first participation/injury report is due to be released.

So for now, New England will have to hold it's collective breath, until tomorrow to see if the All-Pro is back on the field and to see what the injury report says.

Hopefully, for the Pats, it's nothing serious but it really isn't a great sign that Gronkowski missed practice completely.

The sixth year pro played in 15 games this season, making 72 catches for 1,176 yards and 11 touchdowns. His health and ability to be in the lineup is a key for New England's offense to succeed in the postseason.
