Fresh off of his 54-yard, game-winning field goal Sunday against the New York Giants, New England Patriots kicker Stephen Gostkowski was named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week, today.
The honor is the third such one Gostkowski has received this season, as he was named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Month for September and Special Teams Player of the Week in Week 7.

Aside from the 54-yard winner, the tenth-year pro out of Memphis converted another field goal earlier in the game. He also passed Adam Vinatieri for most field goal made all time for the franchise, as his second kick of the day was his 264th career 3-pointer.

On the season, Gostkowski leads the NFL in points (97) and touchbacks (45). He is also a perfect 21-21 on field goal attempts and 34-34 on extra points.
