I was an original foundation member for the Greater New Bedford Community Health Center.

According to The Standard Times, a second story is planned to be added and work will start this spring at the Greater New Bedford Community Health Center.

The second story will be able to cover the whole first floor and will have elevator access with a brick elevator.

The project was on New Bedford’s Planning Board agenda on Wednesday night, but it was pushed back to February 10th. Peter C. Georgeopoulos stated that the project is “moving through the city’s Health Department,” as well as other places. The expansion could start in the upcoming months and possibly be complete by early fall.

“In September, the health center received a $1 million award from the federal Health Infrastructure Investment Program.” They also received an award for $305,722 from the Health Resources and Services Administration.
