George Zimmerman Taken Into Police Custody After Domestic Incident with a Gun [UPDATE]
We knew it would happen again, we just didn't think it would be this soon. You figured he would be keeping a low profile. Not so much.
WKMG reports that George Zimmerman, who in July was acquitted of murdering Trayvon Martin, has been taken into custody in Lake Mary, Florida, after "an incident involving a gun with another person."
The incident comes days after Shellie Zimmerman filed for divorce and discussed her relationship with George Zimmerman on a TV interview. And if you watch enough Law and Order, this is what we call a motive. Since being acquitted in the shooting death of 17-year-old Martin, George Zimmerman has been pulled over twice for speeding.
Update 4:16pm - ABC News reports that Zimmerman is being held at the home of a relative after the incident, which involved his wife, Shellie, and her father, Colin Morgan. he has not been arrested, and is not in jail. He is in police custody until the matter is resolved.
Gawker is also reporting that a local Orlando news station is saying that there was no weapon involved, it was however present at the scene.
