Over 60 Gallons of Gas Spill on Cove Road in New Bedford

A driver sped away from the gas pumps at the 7-11 on Cove Road in New Bedford Tuesday night after some 60 gallons of gas spilled onto the ground.

The State Department of Environmental Protection was called to the scene to sop up the spill. The offending vehicle was tracked down but officials say it's too early to say if any charges would be pressed against the driver.
