Representatives from KG Urban Enterprises were given the green light Thursday by state regulators to move forward with their plans for a waterfront casino in New Bedford.

The approval however is contingent on providing more financial data to the state Gaming Commission within the next two weeks.

Chairman Steven Crosby reminded KG Urban, there has been enough delays.  Crosby said "its time to get this going, and to meet deadlines rather than miss them."  Crosby added "you're giving a message to the world and to us as well, each time deadlines are unmet, each time a party can't get to the table, and so forth.  So, a word to the wise, it's got to get moving."

KG Urban principal Andrew Stern assured Crosby, a "roll-up our sleeves" meeting is planned for the next week to finish up the financing part of the project. Stern said he wanted to get the financing wrapped up as badly as the Commission did.
