Mass in Motion New Bedford's financial future is secure for at least another three years.

The motivational healthy lifestyle program has been awarded another round of funding from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, which will provide $50,000 a year to the program for three years.

Mass in Motion New Bedford Coordinator Kim Ferreira tells WBSM News the program does inspire healthier living, even in the school system....

Ferreira says the funding will be used to continue to promote local farmers' markets, collaboration with city schools, and creating a Bicycle Master Plan for the City of New Bedford.
