A woman from Acushnet remains in critical condition at Massachusetts General Hospital Sunday, two days after the helicopter in which she was riding in crashed in Chatham.

According to South Coast Today.com, 48-year-old Tyra Pacheco suffered many broken bones, including her neck, ribs, leg, shoulder, and severed part of her finger.

"Incredibly there appears to be no substantial damage to her internal organs or spinal cord."

Pacheco is a photographer who specializes in architectural, aerial, and estate photography. The helicopter that crashed Friday had been hired to do aerial photography for a local real estate company.

The pilot, 48-year-old John Ryan of Scituate was also injured in the crash.

Pacheco will undergo several surgeries over the next few weeks.

Pacheco's friend, Christine Richards stated that Pacheco is "an amazing friend, [and] one that we are all the better for, just simply by knowing her.’"
