A man wanted on kidnapping and indecent assault charges in Fall River was arrested Thursday morning in Providence.

Detective J.D. Costa says Rhode Island State Police received a tip from someone who spotted 33-year-old Robert Scott near Greely Street in Providence after seeing him on a news broadcast.

Rhode island state troopers and members of the U.S. Marshal's Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Scott around 11:00 a.m.

Scott was then presented as a Fugitive from Justice in Sixth Division District court in Providence.

Costa says Scott waived extradition and will be taken into custody by Fall River Police.

He will then be arraigned at the Fall River Justice Center on charges of Kidnapping, Kidnapping of a Child, Indecent Assault on a Person 14 Years and Younger, Witness Intimidation, Threats to Commit a Crime and Armed Burglary.
