Fugitive From Puerto Rico Arrested In New Bedford
Police have arrested a man in New Bedford wanted for a double homicide in Puerto Rico.
New Bedford and State Police, along with officers from the United States Marshall's office arrested 36-year-old Luis Carrasquillo-Lizardi at his Brock Avenue apartment Wednesday morning.
At the time of his arrest, Lizardi was in possession of a Massachusetts drivers license under the alias of Jorge Soto which he obtained in 2009.
Lizardi was arraigned in New Bedford District Court as a fugitive from justice. Officials in Puerto Rico say Lizardi is responsible for a double homicide in 2008.
