The search continues for a Marion man who disappeared while duck hunting in Fairhaven earlier this week.

Several friends of 21-year-old Dana Dourdeville scoured Town Beach on West Island Friday, searching for any sign of the Brown University student.

Fairhaven Police Sgt. Kevin Kobza tells WBSM News this latest blast of winter weather has put a damper on official search efforts, as a declared State of Emergency has drawn away search resources.

Dourdeville was last seen leaving his home Tuesday afternoon to go duck hunting in a kayak.

His car was found in the Town Beach parking lot later on, and his kayak was soon found three miles offshore with a single glove inside. Investigators say it doesn't appear as if the kayak tipped over.

Kobza says official searches will likely resume when the State of Emergency is lifted.
