Friday Night Lights: Seekonk @ Old Rochester

This week the Fun 107 crew will be catching all the action as the Seekonk Warriors travel to Rochester to battle the ORR Bulldogs, Friday night as part of our Friday Night Lights coverage.

The match up pits two South Coast Conference division rivals against each other, as both teams look to get their second win of the season.

It's been a tough season for first year head coach Justin Kogler, who's Bulldogs dealt with a rash of injuries early on and couldn't seem to find the offensive punch to get into the end zone regularly in their first five games.

The good times started to roll last week, however, as Kogler's bunch healthily dominated conference opponent Wareham, 41-13. For the first time all season things seemed to be clicking on both sides of the ball for the Bulldogs. While things have come together a little to late for ORR, you can bet they'll come out with some fire tonight as they celebrate homecoming and try to build on last week's successes.

As for Seekonk, its been a tough season as well, as head coach Vernon Crawford's bunch sit at 1-4. After a couple of losses to start the year, they too dismantled Wareham en route to a big 40-6 win. Since then though, its been back-to-back losses. There's no better way to break a tough losing streak and get back on track than beating a conference rival on the road late.

Prediction: Based on the fact that it's homecoming and the Bulldog seniors will be honored, and they're coming off of a big win last week, I've got ORR pulling out the win tonight. With their offense finally healthy, it might be more dangerous then most people expected. Make sure to come out to the game though, as this is Fun 107's last stop on the FNL train this year and the last chance for local seniors to sign up for the Jack Peterson Scholarship.
