The Patrick-Murray Administration is announcing a series of grants across the Commonwealth to increase access to freight rail service.

Three grants from the Industrial Rail Access Program will be funding projects on the Southcoast.

Lt. Gov. Tim Murray says all the grants will make it easier for businesses to move goods and materials by rail.....

The grants include $427,000 for Church Street LLC and Frade's Disposal for a new rail siding, nearly $66,000 to Maritime Terminal to rehab an exsisting rail spur and loading dock at their warehouse, and $167,000  for the SEMASS waste to energy facility in Rochester.
