A scathing report on Freetown Building Inspector Paul Bourgeois featured on WJAR-TV last night has people talking. The investigative feature painted Bourgeois as a sort of bully, with at least two local business owners backing up the described behavior.

Freetown Selectboard Chair Jean Fox tells WBSM News the Building Inspector position isn't the most popular post in town.

WJAR's report alleges Bourgeois let at least one business skate by without a proper permit, and then forced the shop to close.

According to the report, Bourgeois and a business partner have also been turning hundreds of thousands of dollars in real estate profits by flipping properties, a matter that Fox says the Selectboard is looking into.
