A Woodland Park, Colorado operation is looking to provide free marijuana to veterans. The launch of Project Better Medicine was announced this week by Operation Grow4Vets.

Organizers say it's a way to reduce veteran drug overdoses and suicides while dealing with things like serious injuries.

Executive Director Roger Martin says it's important to help veterans lead productive lives and stop killing them by providing "dangerous and often deadly prescription drug cocktails."

All veterans in Colorado under treatment at a VA facility are eligible to enroll online at www.grow4vets.org.
