The Lakeville Arts Council is sponsoring a free summer concert from 6pm to 8pm on Tuesday, July 19, featuring the Shananagans.

According to South Coast Today.com, Tom Kennedy and Joe Zajac are from the Greater New Bedford area and they have been playing music together for 30 years. Their music encompasses a number of different musical styles including Irish and American folk, bluegrass, country, and old time rock and roll.  Those various musical influences are reflected in the instruments they play: guitar, banjo, mandolin, penny whistle, and harmonica.

The Shananagans have performed before at the Stonehill Irish Festival, Cape Cod Irish Festival, New England Irish Festival, Center Street Festival, Newport Irish Festival, and Rockport Irish Festival.

The concert will take place on the stage located across the driveway on the grass in front of the Lakeville Public Library between two ponds and behind a white building. Parking will be available at the library, old town hall, and at Somethin's Brewin' Book Café.

Due to inclement weather, the performance will move into the Library’s Meeting Room.
