Fred Phelps, Westboro Baptist Church Founder, Dead
Metro News - The founder of the notorious Westboro Baptist Church in Kansas is dead.
According to his son, Fred Phelps died overnight in Kansas at the age of 84.
The Westboro Baptist Church is infamous for picketing military funerals. Members of the church carry signs claiming military deaths, the September 11th attacks and other tragedies are God's punishment for America's tolerance of homosexuality.
