Fourth Suspect In New Year’s Eve Shooting Arraigned
A fourth person charged in connection with the New Year's Eve shooting death of Aaron Gant Jr. was arraigned Thursday in New Bedford District Court.
The District Attorney's office says 22-year-old Aaron Bookman of New Bedford was ordered held on $50,000 cash bail after his arraignment on obstruction of justice charges. His case was continued to February 10th.
Three other New Bedford residents 25-year-old Chad Santos, 24-year-old Kathleen Rivera, and 21-year-old Lorena Rivera were arrested on January 6 and are also facing obstruction of justice charges.
Police say Aaron Gant Jr. was an "innocent bystander" when he was shot and killed on New Years Eve.
