Four new Police Officers are onboard in New Bedford. The new officers were introduced on Friday, following their swearing in at City Hall.

Jakob Cwick is the oldest of the group at 38. He was born in Poland and formerly served on the New Bedford Fire Department....

The new officers have completed 21 weeks of training at a regional police academy, and are now receiving more training with New Bedford officers before being assigned a regular shift.

The other new officers are Curtis St. Germain, Pedro Moco, and Brian Pinho.  The Police Department now has 264 officers.
