Four people were arrested in New Bedford Monday afternoon as the result of an investigation by the Organized Crime Intelligence Bureau.

Detective Captain Steven Vicente says that a search warrant was executed at 108 Sycamore Street on the first floor around 4 p.m.

During the search officers found a loaded 40 caliber Hi Point firearm and 26 rounds of 7.62 ammunition, 7 rounds of .38 ammunition.

In addition officers also found packaging material and a scale indicating possible drug dealing activity.

The three suspects in the home, identified as 23-year-old Jesus Santiago of New Bedford, 21-year-old Malcolm Dorsey of Boston, and a 17-year-old juvenile were arraigned Tuesday morning on gun charges.

Another resident, identified as 19-year-old Justin Godoy was observed in a drug transaction near New Bedford High School.

He was arrested as he returned to the home and found with heroin and cash in his possession.

Godoy is now facing both firearm and drug charges.
