Former Wareham Animal Control Officer Accused of Animal Cruelty

Former Wareham Animal Control Officer, Anna Nelson, will be facing arraignment April 24 on violating Massachusetts animal cruelty laws.

The Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is pursuing criminal charges against her for allowing her own pet, a ten year old terrier mix, to deteriorate down to skin and bones! The animal was so emaciated, officials had to put it down.

This irony troubles my conscience. I can't seem to understand how a person who dedicated her professional life to helping distressed animals could allow this to happen in her own home! Please  leave me your thoughts and comments.
