As things are looking dim for the Boston Red Sox, the future looks bright for former skipper Terry Francona. He has landed the manager job with the Cleveland Indians.Everyone knows that things didn't end very well in Boston for Terry Francona. He was treated as a scapegoat for the demise of the team in 2011, and fired.

It looks like Francona will have another shot. He has landed a gig in Cleveland as the teams new manager. ESPN reports that Francona would like to stick around. He doesn't want to be a 'rental manager'. His father played six seasons in Cleveland.

Cleveland finished the 2012 season at 68-94, after a promising start. Perhaps Francona will have what the team needs to compete in the difficult AL Central.
