Forbes released it's latest list of the most valuable teams in Major League Baseball, Tuesday, and, to little surprise, the New York Yankees sit alone at the top.

The Yankees are valued at a cool $3.7 billion, which helps them claim the top spot on the list for the 20th straight year. For further context, the list has only been in circulation for 20 years.

Coming in in second place at almost a full billion dollars under the Yanks' lofty mark is the Los Angeles Dodgers, who sit at a value of $2.75.

The Boston Red Sox ($2.7 billion), Chicago Cubs ($2.675 billion) and San Francisco Giants ($2.65 billion) round out the top five.

In total, six teams (New York Mets $2 billion) are valued at at least $2 billion and 23 sit at $1 billion dollars or better.

The lowest valued club in the league is the Tampa Bay Rays, who are valued at $825 million. That sum is still nothing to sneeze at.

So, it appears that Major League Baseball is doing very well for itself, in terms of money. with every team on the incline in terms of value change from last year.
