The Centers For Disease Control is calling the influenza an epidemic, with high flu-like activity being reported in 22 states and 15 pediatric deaths in the US thus far.

According to ABC News, children under 4 and seniors, 65 plus, are being hit the hardest this season.  The states with the highest flu cases are Tennessee and Minnesota. Medics recommend everyone get their flu shot this year.  The H3N2 Virus is being reported as the most severe. While the current flu shot does not seem to be a good match for the H3N2 virus, there are still various strains it will protect from.

Be safe! if you have children especially, talk to their pediatrician to get their flu shots. Get  your entire family vaccinated.
