Florida Cracks Down On Inmate Release Rules
The Florida Department of Corrections is tightening procedures after a pair of convicted killers used forged documents to gain their freedom.
Corrections officials say no inmate will be released until verification is received from a sentencing judge.
The action comes after Joseph Jenkins and Charles Walker were allowed to walk out of the Franklin Correctional Institute using bogus court orders.
A manhunt is underway for the two killers who are still believed to be in central Florida. (Metro Networks Inc.)
