Five Women Arrested In Prostitution Sting

Five women were arrested during a prostitution sting in New Bedford Tuesday night.

The arrests took place from Tallman St. on the south to Phillips Ave on the north, and in between Ashley Blvd. and Acushnet Ave.

Detective Captain Steven Vicente says all five woman, identified as 49-year-old Deborah Botelho of New Bedford; 29-year-old Danielle Lee Costa of Acushnet; 27-year-old Jaslyn Marie Williams of New Bedford; 45-year-old April Star Daniels of New Bedford; and 45-year-old Nicole Tongue of New Bedford, offered to engage in sexual conduct for a fee.

The five suspects were scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday morning in New Bedford District Court.
