Anyone interested in landing a job with a local casino can scout out potential jobs this weekend.

The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe is hosting a job and vendor fair Saturday, welcoming prospective employees and vendors to explore opportunities with the planned First Light Resort and Casino in Taunton.

Pre-construction has begun on the project, and is expected to generate 1,000 construction jobs as well as 2,600 permanent jobs. The tribe says a portion of the casino is expected to be up and running by summer of 2017.

The job and vendor fair is being held Saturday at the Holiday Inn at 700 Myles Standish Boulevard in Taunton from 11-4pm.
