First Citizens’ Federal Credit Union’s commitment to the communities in southeastern Massachusetts and Cape Cod has spanned over eight decades, with continued investment in organizations and initiatives that contribute to the economic and social well-being of the people in these communities.

This commitment will be further reinforced with the launch of the First Citizens’ Charitable Foundation, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, dedicated to supporting the community by establishing a relationship with local organizations and providing financial support.

“By establishing the First Citizens’ Charitable Foundation, we will have more opportunities to support our communities and be a positive impact on so many individuals and families,” said Peter Muise, President, and CEO of First Citizens. “Education, health and human services and programs providing individuals with basic needs are key areas of focus for the charitable giving of our Foundation.”

The credit union’s commitment to the communities it serves is highlighted by its involvement in several non-profit organizations including Rise Up For Homes, Veterans Transition House, Housing Assistance Corporation, Inc., Old Colony YMCA, Immigrants Assistance Center, Heroes in Transition, Arts Falmouth, Your Theatre, Inc., and several food pantries and shelters across the Southeastern MA and Cape Cod area and many more.
