Fire Damages Garage Of Fairhaven Home

The garage of a Fairhaven home has been destroyed following a Thursday morning fire.

Fire Chief Timothy Francis says the fire, at 8 Magnolia Ave., was reported at 11:19 a.m.

Chief Francis says crews arrived to find the garage engulfed in flames.

Francis says crews responded quickly to prevent the spread of the fire, but says the home did suffer some damage.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Fire officials say damage is estimated at $75,000.

New Bedford, Acushnet, and Mattapoisett provided mutual aid.
