A New Bedford home heavily damaged in a 3 alarm fire Wednesday morning has been torn down.

A contractor hired by the property owner demolished the triple-decker Wednesday night after officials feared it would collapse.

The fire broke out around 7 a.m. at the six family home located at 132 Holly Street. Fire Chief Mchael Gomes says 15 people were displaced by the fire but there were no injuries reported.

A cause of the fire hasn't been determined.
