Fire Chiefs Collect Supplies For Hurricane Victims

New Bedford Fire Chief Michael Gomes, and the Fire Cheifs throughout Bristol County, are collecting goods for those people in the New York-New Jersey area still suffering in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. Gomes tells WBSM News, the fire chief’s are looking for basic supplies.

Chief Gomes says the items can be dropped off any time at fire stations in Greater New Bedford, and fire stations throughout Bristol County. Fire stations in Mattapoisett and Lakeville are also collecting goods. Gomes hopes to have the supplies headed to New York by early next week.
