A fire overnight rips through a North End warehouse and commercial space, causing about $500,000 dollars in damage.

Captain Luke Charbonneau of the Fire Prevention Bureau tells WBSM News, the fire at 2812 Acushnet Avenue broke out just before midnight Tuesday.

Fire crews stayed on the scene till 8am Wednesday. Smoke from the fire could be seen for miles.

Capt. Charbonneau says equipment and materials from Fernandes Masonry were  stored inside the building. There were no injuries reported.

The State Fire Marshall was called in, but investigators say the fire does not appear to be suspicious at this time.
