Fire At Mobile Home Park In Onset

Two mobile homes were deemed uninhabitable following a two alarm fire at an Onset trailer park Sunday night.

Onset Fire Captain Jeffrey Dias says the fire at the Lakeside Mobile Home Park on 3030 Cranberry Highway was reported around 8:35 p.m.

Crews arrived on scene to find the fire fully evolved.

The fire spread from the first trailer to a second trailer and eventually to a third trailer.

Dias says that while the first two trailers were severly damaged, the third trailer sustained only minor damage.

During the fire a propane tank did fail and explode.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
